Golden Vibes Photo and her talented team of wedding vendors made their 60s inspired wedding dreams come to life! Together, they took inspiration from the “flower power” era then blended retro and modern elements together.
To add to the groovy glamorous vibe, one of the brides wore a lace, wide-leg jumpsuit paired with a Bridget Bardot-type hairstyle. The other bride rocked an off-the-shoulder lace wedding gown paired with bold, rainbow earrings—very Stevie Nicks-inspired. While the wedding day fashion was—dare we say—bitchin’, the floral tambourines really made this wedding unique and inspiring.

For some couples, tying the knot in a civil ceremony at the courthouse isn’t ideal, but we love the fact that couples aren’t letting COVID get in the way of celebrating their love however they can. Janine and Sarah celebrated their love for one another in a simply elegant outdoor micro wedding after saying “I do” at the registry office, and it was everything you could want in an intimate affair.
Friends and family surrounded the couple as they promised their lives to each other before heading outside for drinks and portraits. Photographer Hannah Konda Fotographie beautifully captured the free-spirited vibes of the day, and we can’t wait to share them with you! So keep scrolling to see how less can be more.

The Timeline Of The Outdoor Micro Wedding
We tied the knot at the registry office with family and our closest friends. The style was very formal. But after the ceremony, we had a great get-together in one of the parks nearby, where we took photos.

Wedding Day Advice
Be exactly who you are. It does not matter if things do not work out as you expect. No matter what, it will be the best day of your life, so don’t let anything get you down–even when your party is smaller due to COVID restrictions. We had to move our big party because of COVID, but it was still the best day of our lives! Get back to the original thought of why you are getting married. It’s because you love your partner, and that’s all that counts.
Custom Wedding Day Fashion
We each have our own style. We looked at a lot of dresses, but in the end, the suit was designed for Sarah, and the skirt and top that Janine wore was a combination that we chose ourselves. Everything we found in the shops was not really our desired style.
Congratulations again to Janine and Sarah on their elegant outdoor micro wedding! We’re so glad that Hannah Konda Fotographie was there to capture the love these two share. If you’re planning your own micro “I do’s,” check out our guide on hosting a creative micro wedding!

From incorporating two different cultures on their wedding day to the bride’s parents singing I’ll Stand By You, this wedding was anything but ordinary. Jennifer and Edmar’s Brazilian and Puerto Rican wedding took multiculturalism to a new level. With help from their wedding planner Truly Yours Coordinator, they were able to incorporate their different cultures in the food, drinks, and yes, even Samba dancers.
To top off this spectacular ceremony, the wedding day fashion was straight out of a magazine. The bride’s gown gives Bridgerton meets modern-day princess vibes and the colorful teal groomsmen suits were a perfectly coordinated pop of color. But seriously, you’re not going to want to skip past this wedding. Keep scrolling and let pictures from Jessica Jones Photography sweep you off your feet.

A Brazilian and Puerto Rican Wedding
The one thing we wanted most was to embrace both of our cultures and bring them together. Edmar is Brazilian and I am Puerto Rican so we incorporated a few of our favorite desserts and drinks from each of those places to add a special touch to our wedding. We served traditional beverages such as Coquito and Caipirinha. Guava pastries, quesitos, and brigadeiro were some of our favorite desserts to share with our guests as well.
Advice From The Bride
Stay true to yourself! It’s so easy to get caught up in beautiful styled shoots or wedding traditions. Although styled shoots are a great way to get inspiration and find vendors, it can sometimes make you feel that your wedding needs to meet a certain expectation. Remembering the true meaning of this big day and making it about what you both love will put your mind at ease, and give a unique touch to your wedding.
First Surprise: Parents Performing
The first surprise at our wedding was one from my Mom, Dad, brother, and Uncle. They dedicated to us the song “I’ll Stand by You,” by The Pretenders, and performed it for us. My mom sang beautifully in English for the first time. My dad held it down with the saxophone along with my brother and uncle, who accompanied on the guitar. They are all musicians and it was such a beautiful and emotional moment. I wasn’t the only one shedding a tear during their performance.
Second Surprise: Samba Dancers
The second surprise was from me. Edmar’s family is from Brazil and I wanted to incorporate a part of their culture into our wedding celebration. So, I hired Samba dancers and stilt walkers as part of the entertainment of the night. After cutting the cake, my coordinators snuck me back into my room to change into my festive gown for this part of the night. On cue, the Dj played Samba music as the Samba dancers and I walked out together into the crowd to start the Hora Loca (which translates to crazy hour). His family was so excited about the surprise and danced the night away reminiscing on popular songs from Brazil. You can see in the pictures how our families and guests were having such a great time celebrating us both.
Congratulations to Jennifer and Edmar on their spectacular Brazilian and Puerto Rican wedding. Major shout out to Jessica Jones Photography for capturing and sharing this day with us. A wedding complete with a seaside ceremony, handwritten notes to each guest, and five different food stations—talk about unique and absolutely beautiful. Emily and Calvin’s ocean meets greenhouse Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm wedding was California sunshine meets natural glam. With the color palette of terracotta, salmon, blush, and champagne, planner CCL Events created a moody yet dreamy vibe that perfectly contrasted the eco-friendly indoor and outdoor space.
After tying the knot with the Santa Barbara coastline as the backdrop, the couple celebrated with their guests in a greenhouse reception full of thousands of cafe lights, dancing and drinking, and food stations galore. We’re talking pie, churros, oysters, sushi, and even hot Cheetos.
Thank goodness photographer May Iosotaluno was there to capture every detail. One look at these photos, and you’ll be pining for a California sunset.

Personalizing The Ceremony With Music
To make our ceremony more personal, we decided to each be walked down the aisle with both of our parents. Our parents and family mean the world to us, and it only made sense that Calvin and I both were able to have our parents by our side during that special moment. We also chose songs for the ceremony that were lighthearted and fun, like Baby by Ariel Pink for our bridal party and The Bird by Anderson Paak for Calvin and his parents. For my walk down the aisle, we went with something more dramatic and classic, Unchained Melody. It was also important that we had our ceremony overlooking the ocean since many significant moments in our relationship took place on the beach where we had our first date or near the sea, where he proposed!
Why An Orchid Farm Wedding
We chose our wedding venue Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm because of the romantic yet breezy California coast that it encompasses. We wanted to honor the beautiful coastline that we love so much and throw in some contrast with the warm terracotta, salmon, blush, and champagne hues. We wanted the day to feel dreamy and romantic yet fun and bold. We wanted our guests to feel the love and joy on our day of celebration.
A Special Handwritten Note To The Guests
The most important thing about planning our wedding was that each and every one of our guests had fun and felt our love. They all mean so much to us, our individual growth as humans, and our growth as a couple. For our wedding day, we wanted to give it all back to them. We handwrote individual letters to each guest just to tell them how special they are to us.
Incorporating Unique Food Stations
We had plenty of snacks and appetizers that our guests could enjoy because we both love to eat! We had a sushi handroll and oyster station because…how could we not with that amazing ocean view? We also did a hot Cheetos station with all our favorite flavors. A churro station because we both love churros. My personal favorite was our pie station with our favorite pies from the Pie Hole. We both love pie over cake, and our wedding date was 3/14, so it only made sense that we opted out of cake entirely and had a pie cutting.

Marisa and Kamil’s elegant Old Port of Montreal wedding is modern meets old Hollywood glamour, and we can’t get enough. The couple hired expert planner Elyna Kudish who transformed the Montreal Science Center into a space full of velvet accents, romantic candlelight, extravagant white florals from Atelier Carmel, and pops of sage green. We can’t get enough of the modern marble-inspired cake from Yuki Bakery.
Photographers and Junebug members Joel & Justyna captured the essence of the day, including a romantic taxi ride to the venue and love-filled portraits on Montreal’s cobblestone streets. So, keep scrolling to see the beauty of their day because these photos are truly worth a thousand words.

A Memorable First Look
We had initially hesitated about seeing each other before the ceremony. We wanted to keep some tradition. However, we ultimately decided on doing a first look, and we are so glad that we did. It was one of the most intimate moments that we shared that day—apart from our vows, of course— the other was our first dance. We had the opportunity just to share some moments of calm with one another before things got hectic. Most of the day after that first look was a blur and seemed to pass by so quickly, so having that time before the festivities was priceless.
Why an Old Port of Montreal Wedding
Our venue was located in the Old Port of Montreal. We were both born and raised in Montreal, and the Old Port has special significance to us. We were looking for a blank canvas with lots of natural light and an open feel. Our venue provided us with an abundance of natural light throughout the ceremony and into the early evening.

The Importance of A Planner
We had the privilege of working with an amazing wedding planner, Elyna Kudish, who helped us bring our vision to life. She was there with us every step of the way. We explained our vision of a clean, elegant, modern feel that incorporated our Caribbean roots. She was able to help us bring that to fruition through the venue, decor, entertainment, and food. We couldn’t have done it without her.
Congratulations again to Marisa and Kamil on their elegant Old Port of Montreal wedding. We’re so thankful that Junebug members Joel & Justyna were there to capture every sophisticated detail.
