For some couples, tying the knot in a civil ceremony at the courthouse isn’t ideal, but we love the fact that couples aren’t letting COVID get in the way of celebrating their love however they can. Janine and Sarah celebrated their love for one another in a simply elegant outdoor micro wedding after saying “I do” at the registry office, and it was everything you could want in an intimate affair.

Friends and family surrounded the couple as they promised their lives to each other before heading outside for drinks and portraits. Photographer Hannah Konda Fotographie beautifully captured the free-spirited vibes of the day, and we can’t wait to share them with you! So keep scrolling to see how less can be more.

The Timeline Of The Outdoor Micro Wedding

We tied the knot at the registry office with family and our closest friends. The style was very formal. But after the ceremony, we had a great get-together in one of the parks nearby, where we took photos.

Wedding Day Advice

Be exactly who you are. It does not matter if things do not work out as you expect. No matter what, it will be the best day of your life, so don’t let anything get you down–even when your party is smaller due to COVID restrictions. We had to move our big party because of COVID, but it was still the best day of our lives! Get back to the original thought of why you are getting married. It’s because you love your partner, and that’s all that counts.

Custom Wedding Day Fashion

We each have our own style. We looked at a lot of dresses, but in the end, the suit was designed for Sarah, and the skirt and top that Janine wore was a combination that we chose ourselves. Everything we found in the shops was not really our desired style.

Playful Garden-Inspired Italian Summer Wedding *

Playful Garden-Inspired Italian Summer Wedding *

Whether it’s food, fashion, or wedding day styles, inspiration from Italy is never a bad idea. Plus, with a wedding inspired by an Italian summer, who could resist? Nadia and Thomas wanted an Italian summer wedding—but in Germany. With the Weingut Mussler as their venue, they opted for a wedding color palette inspired by lemons and olive leaves and included their guests’ fashion as part of the wedding decor.

The details of this Italian summer wedding are so dreamy. Grand chandeliers, an altar with white shutter doors, and a spacious cypress grove. With the help from their wedding planner Svenja Fischer, this couple had the wedding of their dreams. Ready to feel like you’ve flown to Italy? Keep scrolling to see how Junebug member Candida & Max Jan Photography captured this picturesque day.

Italian Summer Wedding Fashion

We wanted the wedding to be like a summer party in Italy. The groom’s suit was linen and he wore dark brown Italian shoes with no socks. The bride’s dress was modern white and flowy. We told the guests to dress for a beautiful garden party.

Italian-Inspired Color Palette

Our wedding day color palette was linen, yellow (inspired by lemons), blue, and green (like olive leaves). These are the colors we connected to an Italian summer.

Sunset, Twinkle Lights, And Cactus Star In This Desert Shoot *

Sunset, Twinkle Lights, And Cactus Star In This Desert Shoot *

An intimate elopement inspiration starting with a sunset and ending under the twinkling starlight—we can’t think of a more romantic way to tie the knot. This talented team of wedding professionals, organized by From Sophie With Love, brought to life a dreamy sunset desert elopement in Brüggen, Germany. The perfect inspiration for couples looking to say their “I do’s” under the stars.

From the elegantly draped string lights to the non-traditional cactus cake topper—there was no detail left untouched. The bright white linens, the vibrant orange decor accents, and the pop of green cacti perfectly complement the muted desert background. The decor, by Dekodesign Wittenberg, transformed an ordinary location into a jaw-dropping elopement space. Proving the ceremony location isn’t of the utmost importance, but rather what it becomes with the help of your talented wedding team.
