Gorgeous And Glamorous Casa Baloyan Wedding

Daniela and Andres didn’t let COVID-19 stop them from having the French destination wedding of their dreams. Rather than tie the knot in a faraway place, the couple said “I do” at a stunning Casa Baloyan wedding that was dripping with French elegance–all while being close to their friends and family in Mexico! With the help of planner Alvaro Avila, the vineyard was transformed into a French-inspired space full of grand white florals from Oleandra, classic European-inspired table settings, and an abundance of candles.

From the getting-ready portraits to intimate moments in the villa’s library to a firework-lit reception, Junebug member and photographer Meraki Weddings captured every special moment from this glamorous wedding. They also did an amazing job summarizing details of the classic celebration below.

Photographer Meraki Weddings On The Day

Daniela and Andres got married at Casa Baloyan in Tijuana, which has an amazing architecture with green tones that perfectly matched the color palette they decided to use for their intimate and elegant event–white and green tones.

With combinations of greens, a beautiful arch of flowers in the backyard of the house, and a stunning view of the city and dreamy sunset, Daniela and Andres tied the knot surrounded by their closest family and friends. The intimate reception was held in the same location, with many floral arrangements illuminated by candle lights. The married couple danced all night under a magical full moon.

Utilizing Classic Bridal Fashion

Both of our styles were classic with a modern twist. My style inspiration was pulled from Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, and my mom. I’ve always loved how brides look with minimalist makeup and a “pulled back” hairstyle. I love that our children will see our photos and we’ll have a classic and timeless look in them.

The Couple’s Favorite Wedding Photos

One of our favorite photos is of us at the ceremony listening to Father give the homily. We love it because we are very focused on what he is telling us and it was one of the most beautiful moments of the day. Another of our favorite photos is one that we are in the home’s library. The picture feels super dramatic and elegant at the same time.

Why A Casa Baloyan Wedding

The style of the wedding was inspired by a French Chateau. We wanted something elegant, timeless, romantic, and chic. This particular wedding venue belongs to a very good friend of my dad. We are very happy and grateful that he could lend us his residence, as it was perfect with our vision of the style of our wedding.

Gorgeous Rainy Day Bower Estate Wedding

While many couples fear rain on their wedding day, it’s actually considered good luck in many cultures. And Jordan and Deshaun’s rainy day Bower Estate wedding is proof that not only is this true, but rain also makes for some seriously beautiful wedding photos! The couple tied the knot in an intimate outdoor ceremony surrounded by Queensland’s lush national parks before taking cover in a fairy-lit tent that can only be described as magical.

While Australia’s natural beauty during a rainstorm is hard to beat, the wedding fashion was the true star of the show. Jordan looked truly stunning in a blush custom Begitta gown complete with polka-dots and an oh-so-sexy slit, while Deshaun matched nature beautifully in his stone-colored suit. Not to mention the button-down ivory satin Shonna Joy bridesmaid dresses that tied both the bride and groom’s looks together perfectly.

So if earthy and effortless is what you’re looking for, keep scrolling through to see the beautiful photos captured by A’Daw Photography. And who knows, you may just change your mind about rainy day weddings.

Effortless Wedding Day Fashion

I always knew that our bridal party style would be made up of natural colors. I love unique pieces so getting a custom couture dress made by Begitta was the perfect choice. My bridesmaids wore cream color Shona Joydresses, and the boys had tailored stone color suits. I would say our overall style was natural and effortless. We had fresh, natural makeup looks by Alex Ouston and simple hairstyles by The Hair Therapist.

A Memorable Rainy Walk Down The Aisle

We loved the entire day! Even the moments of sprinkling rain. Having all of our closest friends and family together was a pretty overwhelming feeling. There was so much love and happiness amongst everyone, and that’s the most special memory for us. We spent the day with everyone we love so much and who loves us. My uncle walking me down the aisle was such a special moment I’ll never forget.

Natural Vibes At The Bower Estate Wedding

Our wedding style was natural, effortless, and unrefined. It was made up of earthy, neutral color tones and was set amongst endless lush greenery and fairy lights. We had a family-style banquet and a beautiful caravan barfor everyone to enjoy. Our wedding had the most magical feel. It was filled with timeless selections that I know we’ll be obsessed with forever!

Elegantly Earth-Toned Gabbinbar Wedding

Neutral doesn’t mean boring. In fact, selecting a neutral color palette allows for other elements to shine through on your wedding day—much like this elegant Australian celebration. Jess and Dan dreamed of creating a whimsical, earth-toned wedding day that radiated love and prioritized little moments. With the help of Junebug member Gabbinbar Homestead that’s exactly what they got.

Gabbinbar Homestead is a historic, Australian venue that radiates elegance. Complete with enchanted gardens, fountains, and draped fairy lights, it’s the perfect spot for unique weddings of any size and theme. To preserve the venue’s beautiful existing features, Daisy and Co Flowers used earth-toned florals to frame the ceremony backdrop and better personalize the space.

Every jaw-dropping element—from floral arrangements to the venue—shines through in these images captured by wedding photographer Bulb Creative. Whether you’re in search of neutral wedding inspiration or unique ways to infuse your day with personalized touches, this elegant nuptial is sure to kickstart your creative wedding planning process

More From The Venue On This Gabbinbar Wedding

We host over two hundred stunning weddings every year at our exclusive heritage-listed homestead estate. With all the beautiful couples we’ve welcomed through our doors, we’re continually being captivated by the unique stories each brings. Dan and Jess were no exception. It was the perfect fusion of understated elegance and pure wow. Heartfelt speeches, warm candlelight, and effortlessly styled florals were the highlights of the reception which was followed by dancing with guests beneath the chandeliers in the ballroom.

Vendors Are A Top Priority

As a wedding photographer and videographer myself, my top priority was selecting our dream photographer and videographer. Even before I got engaged, I had my heart set on Bulb Creative and Sam Fregonese to capture our day! Not only are they extremely talented, but they are also the sweetest humans who made our day so fun. I made sure they were both available before booking our date and venue. We were so blessed to have them as part of our day.

The Ceremony Being The Most Most Memorable

The ceremony was the most memorable part of the day for us. Getting to worship God together and sharing our personal vows to one another was a dream. All whilst being surrounded by the people we love most in the world—the sweetest and most treasured moment. For us, it felt like a glimpse into heaven.

Wedding Planning Is Easy When You Marry Your Best Friend

My main piece of wedding planning advice would be to focus on what really matters: marrying your best friend. It’s definitely fun to pick out and plan all the details, but when you think back to your wedding day, it’s the little moments that you’ll remember. The look on your dad’s face when he sees you in your wedding dress, the happy tears you get as you read a sweet note from your partner, the excitement as you begin to walk down the aisle. It’s truly these sweet moments that’ll mean the most. Try not to stress too much about the other things.

The Venue Was Love At First Sight

Over the years that I’ve been in the wedding industry, I’ve visited many beautiful venues. But I completely fell in love with  Gabbinbar Homestead the very first time I visited around four years ago. From that moment, I dreamed of getting married there one day! There’s so much natural beauty and the Homestead is breathtaking, especially the reception conservatory with the glass ceiling. Above all else, the staff are the best in the business. They’re so friendly, accommodating, and diligent. We couldn’t be more grateful for everything that they did for us in making our wedding day the best day of our lives.

Make Your Ceremony Your Own

It was very important to Dan and me that our ceremony was Christ-centred and reflected our faith. We opened the ceremony with worship which was such a joyful and powerful moment. We were so blessed to have both our pastors conduct our ceremony. I also loved that Dan and I were able to share communion together right after the ceremony.

Clyde Iron Works Wedding With Costumes Galore

Attention all our ghosts and ghouls—this wedding is too cute to spook! Kaitlin and Taylor’s Clyde Iron Works wedding blended soft, romance vibes with a dark, Halloween-esque aesthetic. Their unique ceremony took place on Halloween, during a full moon, and in the middle of a global pandemic! Don’t get scared though—Kaitlin and Taylor took as many COVID-19 precautions as they could to keep their guests and vendors safe and healthy, including live streaming their ceremony.

With gold-dipped pumpkins, dark florals, and gold candlesticks, it only seemed right that they had costumes, masks, and a cameo from Captain Jack Sparrow. Get ready to have your spirits lifted when you see these photos captured by Junebug member Brianna Lane Photography.

Prioritizing Health and Safety

The biggest priority for us was keeping our guests safe and healthy. We set up a live stream for the family and friends that weren’t able to travel or couldn’t attend. The most important thing to us was getting married and celebrating with our family and friends in the safest way possible.

Family and Vendors Working Together

We’re proud of our family, friends, and the vendors that we worked with during this whole process. Our family and friends completely understood the hard decision we made to decrease our guest list, and the vendors we worked with were incredibly flexible and helpful every step of the way.  In the end, we decided that no matter what our day looked like, we just wanted to get married and celebrate our love.

Advice From The Bride

Hire a wedding coordinator and start checking things off your list early! Planning a wedding during the pandemic was very stressful—with COVID safety regulations and venue rules changing often.  Luckily, we had an amazing coordinator who fully supported us, eased our worries, and kept us up to date with COVID precautions. Having a coordinator there to take charge and fix any problems that popped up was unbelievably helpful. Because of her, we were just able to enjoy every second of our day and not worry about the little things!

DIY Halloween Decor

We kept our decorations to a minimum, the venue was already so beautiful that we didn’t need much to enhance it. Our only DIY project was ceramic, gold-dipped pumpkin candle holders handmade by our talented friend. She created dozens of these ceramic pumpkins, dipped them all in gold paint, and personalized the bottoms with our names and wedding date. We had the ceramic candle holders on the tables during dinner with the gold candlesticks and bouquets.

A Halloween Clyde Iron Works Wedding

We chose the Malting building at Clyde Iron Works because it perfectly fit in with our unique vision of a timeless romantic Halloween wedding.  The Malting is a recently renovated historic building with beautiful exposed brick and we knew the second we toured it that it was the one.  Taylor and I spent many weekendss on the nearby north shore, so having our wedding in Duluth made it even more special to us.

Bright, Unique, And Mid Century Modern Elopement *

Bright, Unique, And Mid Century Modern Elopement

A vintage mid-length dress, a DIY vibrant bouquet, and an Airbnb wedding venue—these were the unique ingredients used to bring Annelise and Joel’s mid-century modern elopement to life. This Palm Springs loving couple wanted a simple wedding day that was achievable but still show-stopping. A nuptial that was infused with their personalities, without breaking the bank

From the bride’s DIY bouquet—which she created the day before her wedding—to the fully vintage attire, no detail Junebug member Carmen Lopez Photography captured was short of amazing. Whether you’re looking for budget-friendly wedding ideas or creative ways to incorporate loved ones in your elopement, this Southern California celebration is the perfect place to draw inspiration from

Carmen Lopez’s Thoughts On This Mid Century Modern Elopement

Annelise and Joel put so much work into the details behind their big day. Though it was super important to keep this intimate day about their love for each other, they wanted to incorporate their loved ones. Her best friend made their cake, his best friend officiated the ceremony, and hand-made them all dinner after the celebration. It was truly a team effort!

Don’t Stress Over Small Details

It’s easy to get overwhelmed by options or Pinterest ideas. It’s completely understandable to want a beautiful perfect day but once it comes at the expense of your sanity it’s time to just pick one and push forward. Most of the time your initial instinct is the right one anyway. At the end of the day none of those factors are going to be important in your everyday marriage.

Saving Money With A DIY Bridal Bouquet

We wanted our wedding planning process to be achievable and budget-friendly. Not wanting to spend too much on flowers, Annelise and a friend hit the Los Angeles Flower Mart the Wednesday before the wedding. We had a few inspiration photos but mostly decided to wing it, following how-to-assemble-a-bouquet guides on the internet. Annelise did the assembling the night before the ceremony surrounded by a group of loved ones. It was fun, laid-back, and meaningful. Something that would not be possible with the chaos of a larger wedding celebration.

Advice For Narrowing Down Vendors

It obviously varies greatly depending on the scale of your wedding, but larger weddings can really overwhelm you with the amount of choices. When it comes to wedding vendors, our biggest piece of advice is to sit down with your significant other and take turns sharing your top vendors. This will save you from having to look at 100 different options.

A Short, Sweet, And Personalized Ceremony

The actual ceremony, though short, was very much tailored to us. Rather than traditional vows, we both spoke about our relationship, our future, and what we loved and cherished about our relationship. Our friends spokeabout our individual friendships and how they have seen our relationship with each other grow. Our small terrier Bindle was our special guest who delighted everyone with her floral corsage

Involving Loved Ones In Your Elopement

We involved our guests as much as possible. Our witness—Annelise’s best friend Kat—made the wedding cake and brought a Day of the Dead cake topper. We all like a little touch of spookiness and we love the slightly off quality these little totems have. Our witness’ mom also made us some last-minute tablescape textiles. Even though we didn’t DIY those ourselves it was a really sweet contribution to our celebration.

Working With Photographer Carmen Lopez Photography

After reviewing probably sixty wedding photographer’s websites, we finally came across Carmen Lopez Photography. We were limited because our date was last minute and we’re so lucky to have found her. When she showed up ready to party in a coverall jumpsuit we knew we had made the right choice. While taking photos the desert wind picked up and Carmen was such a pro at moving us around, shifting, and relocating to get amazing pictures. We’re both pretty awkward in front of a camera and are so happy with how Carmen’s photos turned out.
