From the sweeping views of a canyon and river to a camper picnic with close friends, these gorgeous Swan Falls nuptials were everything we could want in a micro wedding. Like many other couples, Dani and Whitney’s larger wedding was canceled because of COVID. But the two didn’t let that stop them from promising to love each other forever.
Surrounded by loved ones, they tied the knot overlooking Swan Falls before celebrating with a cheese board, champagne, and a cake from Figgy Bakes in front of their camper. All decor was reused, borrowed, or repurposed, making for one intimate and sustainable affair–and if you know Junebug, you know how much we love sustainable weddings!
If you love adventuring, epic motorcycle portraits, and boho wedding fashion, you’re not going to want to miss these photos beautifully captured by Jackie and Michael.

Why A Swan Falls Micro Wedding
Initially, we planned a bigger wedding, but because of COVID-19, we decided to elope instead of cancel and make it more intimate and special for just us. We had just a few close friends and our vintage camper and put it all together ourselves with the help of our friends. We knew that it was all that mattered–a few friends, music, and us.

Reusing Items For A Sustainable Day
There were a lot of sustainable touches. We hung the foliage on the camper, used rugs and plates we already had, etc. The wedding dress was probably the most expensive thing, but everything else was borrowed, repurposed, or used.
Congratulations again to Dani and Whitney on their sustainable Swan Falls micro wedding! We’re thankful that Jackie and Michael were there to capture the beauty of the day and share it with Junebug. It’s a well-known fact that music brings people together. So when it came time to plan their wedding, Jessie and Garrett figured their favorite concert venue would be the perfect place to bring their guests together. Thanks to planner Emily Aitken Events, the retro nuptials at El Korah Shrine were complete with vintage furniture, colorful pennants, neon everywhere, a disco ball, and ghosts. That’s right, the venue is allegedly haunted.
Jessie looked elegant and edgy in her Theia Couture crepe dress and red booties. We love that she paired the dress with a denim jacket for sunset family portraits, which were beautifully captured by Junebug member Maggie Grace Photography. One look at these vintage-inspired “I do’s,” and you will feel as if you’ve traveled back in time.

Working With Retro Vibes At El Korah Shrine
The design started with the location. The idea of hosting our wedding at our favorite Treefort Music Festival venue really resonated with us as music lovers. The plan continued with the additions of whimsical, artsy elements to everything. The vibe evolved to be a colorful, retro, celebratory fall gathering of friends and family.
How They Personalized The Ceremony
We had our friend perform the ceremony and surprise us with everything he said and wrote our own vows. We also designed each other’s wedding rings and exchanged vows on a custom made rug that is now in our living room.
A Memorable Vow Exchange
Exchanging our vows really stands out for both of us. We were nervous—I hate public speaking, and Garrett wasn’t sure he could get through his vows without crying. Practicing the day before helped both of us stay calm, and reading them out loud helped us slow down and enjoy the actual moment more.
Congratulations again to Jessie and Garrett on their vintage-inspired wedding at El Korah Shrine. We’re so glad that Junebug member Maggie Grace Photography was there to capture every rocking detail of the day.
