Vibrant Tuscany Wedding at Molino di Amarrante *

We’re suckers for destination weddings and Abigail and Geraint’s vibrant Tuscany wedding at Molino di Amarrante is no exception! With the help of The Marthy’s Vintage Garden, the couple turned the Italian villa into a boho wonderland. We love what photographer Margherita Calati had to say about to couple’s special day:

Abigail and Geraint are a British couple from London. They decided to celebrate their intimate wedding in a rural venue in the earth of Tuscany, having a relaxed week with their families and friends and enjoying Italian food and beauties.

For the wedding day, they planned a small ceremony outside, in the late afternoon of a very warm June day, and after a long couple session around the venue, they had a pizza party in the courtyard. The ancient Molino had an original wood oven, for the bread production, and the catering used it for the best gourmet pizza! There were speeches during the dinner and at the end the cut of the cake under the trees!”

We’re pretty sure that’s about as romantic as it gets! So what are you waiting for, babes? Start saving this dreamy Italian getaway!

Inspiration is all well and good when starting to plan your wedding but when the day comes, you don’t need to compare your wonderful day to others! It’s always going to be unique and special to you, so just focus on what’s happening in front of you and make sure to take it all in. It goes in a flash!

The most memorable part of the day for us was actually before anything wedding-y even started. While our wonderful wedding planners were setting everything up, and our families were relaxing and enjoying some lunch, me and Geraint wandered up to Montaione to pick up some things from the shops and ended up just sitting at the viewpoint in town for a while. It was so peaceful and was such a nice opportunity for us to enjoy some calm with just each other for company before the day started!

We officially got married in London two weeks before our wedding day in Italy, so all the paperwork had already been done. This gave us some freedom with how we conducted the actual ceremony and allowed us to pick someone close to us to actually marry us! We chose my cousin Emily to officiate the ceremony, and she was absolutely brilliant. It was so fun to have someone close to us up there rather than someone we didn’t know.

Our wedding planner and photographer had given our guests some colorful smoke flares which they set off when we walked down the aisle and it was such a surprise!

Elegant Italian Garden Wedding at Villa Mon Repos Taormina *

Elegant Italian Garden Wedding at Villa Mon Repos Taormina *

We’ve only got two words for Ashley and Leo’s Italian garden wedding at Villa Mon Repos Taormina: mama mia! When finding a wedding venue, Ashley and Leo combined their love for the mountain and ocean to find the perfect location. They ended up with stunning views of both. With the help of planner Elegante by Michelle J, the couple’s nuptials were vibrant, full of personality, and timeless. The magical day was captured by Anna and Alex—thank goodness it was because we can’t stop staring at their images. This might be the most Pinterest-worthy wedding ever!

Since watching the Sex and the City movie in 2008 I have been in love with blue Manolos. My entire ensemble was designed around the cobalt blue Hangisi pumps.

Shop similar bridesmaid dresses: Dessy Off The Shoulder Column Gown ($262); Dessy Off The Shoulder Crossback Gown ($256); Bill Lvekoff Off The Shoulder A-Line Gown ($180); Lulu’s Aveline Off The Shoulder Maxi Dress ($94)

Color palette comprised of blush pink, blue, green, soft blue, cranberry, and coral. My favorite seasons are spring and fall because of the beauty in nature that time of year. Because of the time of year and the location, going with a deeper (fall) color palette would not have complimented the venue. So we decided to soften that palette with cooler (spring) shades.

There were so many memorable parts. Our favorites were the wine ceremony where Leo‘s sister shook and sabred our sparkling rose, everyone joining in a traditional Armenian Wedding dance called the Shalakho, jumping the broom, our first dance, and the best man’s speech which made us both laugh and cry.

Lavish Outdoor Tuscan Wedding at Villa Oliva *

Lavish Outdoor Tuscan Wedding at Villa Oliva *

If you’ve ever dreamed of a lavish, romantic affair for your special day, look no further than Stephanie and Daniel’s stunning Tuscan wedding at Villa Oliva! We’re absolutely smitten with every detail and photograph David Bastianoni so beautifully captured of this sweet couple. Read on to learn Elegante by Michelle J‘s vision behind Stephanie and Daniel’s magical day:

Stephanie and Dan married in the beautiful grounds of Villa Oliva in Lucca. The Jewish wedding ceremony was followed by drinks and then dinner and dancing all hosted outside in different areas of the villa’s gardens. The setting was romantic and joyful; the atmosphere electric. Whilst most guests travelled from the UK, they were joined by friends and family from all around the world. The couple chose a simple white and green colour palette—no more was needed in such a beautiful setting—but the florist took the brief and created the most exquisite floral chuppah (canopy) for the marriage ceremony and beautiful table centerpieces. We used the various sculptures and features around the venue’s gardens as focus points, the first one as a backdrop to the chuppah and then later on as a backdrop to the stage. And Florence-based production company provided a lighting scheme that showcased these features in a very dramatic way.

Getting ready with your family and friends is an underrated but really special part of the day! One of my favourite memories is having a dance party to some pop classics in the morning; it put us all in the best mood. Make sure you have people around you who care about you, understand how important the day is to you and want you to look and feel your best. This includes both the wedding party and your make-up artists and hair stylists.

We worked closely with Michelle, our amazing wedding planner, as well as our families (mainly the mothers!) to create the style of the day. As a couple, we’re quite outdoorsy and spend a lot of time out for walks or hikes, so it was important for us to get married outside amongst nature. We also love Italy and I’d always dreamed of having an Italian villa-style wedding. We wanted the style to be simple and elegant and to let the beautiful venue speak for itself. The incredible florists, caterers and suppliers that Michelle recommended completely understood our vision and it came together beautifully.

The most memorable part of the day was the ceremony. We decided to do a public Bedeckin (an unveiling, which is a traditional part of a Jewish ceremony) so the first time we saw each other was halfway down the aisle. Our parents were both involved in this part of the ceremony – my father gave me a blessing, like he has done every Friday night – so it was very emotional.

We got married in Villa Oliva, near Lucca in Tuscany. We decided to get married in Italy because we have several happy memories there and we love the food, wine, art, landscapes and scenery. We also wanted to have the ceremony outside, so a Tuscan garden was our dream location. Luckily, most of our family and friends were able to travel to Italy to celebrate our special day with us, which we’re so grateful for.

We fell in love with our venue immediately, mostly because of the beautiful gardens surrounding the villa. We decided to reveal each area of the venue throughout the evening, so we got married at the front of the villa; had the drinks reception behind the villa; and dinner and dancing was held in a large garden slightly further away from the property. The front of the villa had a beautiful grotto, which was the perfect backdrop for the Chuppah (Jewish marriage ceremony).

Our photographer and videographer were David Bastianoni and Waterfall Visuals, respectively. They were both fantastic and worked perfectly together. We have so many pictures of us laughing and joking, which were a result of David’s hilarity. He put us at ease, orchestrated sweet little moments and caught all the emotional moments that happened naturally, too.

Island of Favignana Fairy Tale Wedding at Hotel delle Cave *

Island of Favignana Fairy Tale Wedding at Hotel delle Cave *

Katie and Lev dreamed of a fairy tale wedding with pure, honest celebration and intention at every turn, so a magical day at Hotel delle Cave was the perfect choice! We’re smitten with the whimsical design the couple created alongside their planning team Style A Wedding. If you swoon over all things floral, just wait until you get a glimpse of the blooming masterpieces by Hanami Atelier, which were inspired by the couple’s love of colors, natural surroundings, and earthy tones. Get ready for stunning bridal style, all the Sicily vibes, and even more captured beautifully by Yeray Cruz!

The Wedding:

Hotel delle Cave, Favignana Island, Sicily, Italy

For a fantasy gown celebrating all the blossoms, there would only be one choice for the bridal gown designer—and Rara Avis did not disappoint. Inspired by the femininity and the uniqueness, the gown blossomed into a celebration of my romantic dreams adorned in tiny handmade Japanese clay flowers and beads. My hair was styled into one side waves to have a clear profile and back. The simple style was complete with a gold hairpiece. The fairytale accessories moved beautifully amongst the fallen blossoms of the surrounding displays, crowned by a headpiece of Hermione Harbutt – Sakura Garland. A dreamy cherry blossom garland with blush mother of pearl flowers, golden blooms, and leaf tendrils.

We had been to Italy twice together and loved the country’s culture, food, wine, scenery and romance. It was a pretty quick decision as it was a good midway point for our family and friends who came from all over Europe, Georgia and Russia, and one we thought people would be happy to travel to. We came across Hotel delle Cave online during our hours of searching and after using Instagram to see more pictures we booked it quite quickly. Our ceremony and reception location were held in a former quarry turned into a beautiful garden. We chose it because it was a unique embodiment of a childhood dream: a wedding under an evergreen tree.

Having an autumnal wedding is all about bringing a sense of coziness and richness to the big day. Fall wedding colors posed a particular challenge. Orange was an obvious choice. We went for a jewel tone wedding decor softened by pastel colors that play up the mysterious and sultry vibe of the season. From elegant mauve and dusty pink to bold fuchsia and burgundy, we thought that it was the perfect time to add a splash of color into the wedding style. Jewel tones automatically brought a sense of opulence to the decor, but also the look was elevated even more by including metallic golden details such as golden chairs and tableware for added luxury.

I was absolutely flattered by the way Marco and his team worked on the preparation and decoration of our sweet table and the cake. They worked on designing the Wedding Cake and the setting of the sweet table including other desserts for the purpose of creating something different from the typical wedding cakes. They created a “tailor-made experience”, from the creation and design of the cake silhouette to the choice of every single flavor with very personal and organic essences and extracts to create unique flavors and scents, creams and filling. The presentation and taste of the creations exceeded all our expectations. Our guests have continuously commented on how delicious it was. We are looking forward to working with Marco again!
