This Magical Full Moon Wedding at Locust Hall Is Bewitching *

Pri and Reggie’s full moon wedding at Locust Hall is proof that parents usually know best. After the couple’s parents spotted the venue, they knew it was the perfect place to tie the knot. The couple said “I do” in a ceremony that featured sweeping countryside views, a unity candle lighting, and a stunning wooden arch with florals put together by A Garden Party

They followed up their rustic yet elegant ceremony with a photo shoot in the sunflower fields, a reception full of dancing and lawn games, and a last-minute portrait under the moon’s light–all of which photographer Katy Weaver captured beautifully. Keep scrolling to see all of the magical details, and be prepared to be bewitched.

Natural Wedding Vibes At This Full Moon Wedding

We wanted the feeling to be as if we went foraging in the woods for wedding decor–moss, rough stones, and more foliage–very natural and organic. Our wedding was on a full moon, so there was definitely a magical vibe with all the crystals. We wanted it to feel very ritualistic because marriage is one of our society’s oldest rituals.

Why Locust Hall

It was our parents that made the final call to go with Locust Hall. We had been running around all day visiting different venues, and the moment we turned onto the long driveway flanked by sunflower fields on either side, both our parents were like, “sold! Check, please!” I have to say they made a great call. What I loved most about getting married at Locust Hall was the progression through the different spaces on the property. It really gave the wedding a feeling of momentum and energy. There is also so much natural and scenic beauty that it didn’t need much decorating and our guests had a great time wandering around the property, petting goats, and whatnot.

Wedding Advice From The Bride

Don’t sweat the small details. On the day of, you will be so caught up in the energy of everything that you will 100% not notice the napkin rings or the menu cards. Try to focus on the experiences you and your guests will have. Whenever we reminisce with friends and family, it’s always about the speeches, our newlywed game, the dancing, and playing late-night lawn games–not the decor.

A Favorite Celestial Photo

Our favorite photo of the night was the one of us under the full moon. The weather that day was supposed to be cloudy, so we weren’t sure if we’d be able to get the shot. But, Katy was determined to give us the shot we dreamed of, so she had guests keep a lookout for the moon. It seemed like it wasn’t going to happen. The night was almost over when suddenly Katy grabbed us and told us to run out to the field, so we literally sprinted to get in front of the moon before it disappeared again. We were both sweaty and out of breath, and Katy got down on the ground on her stomach. It was a real team effort, but the end picture was perfect.
